remember when the po-po show up at Trinity's house and break through the door and windows while Dex is there as Kyle looking for Trinity? Then Dex hides in the coffin, Batista and Dex's sister lift the garage door and Dex is already inside and said he heard the call and got there quicker? Well....when the cops talk to the family they are going to tell them all about Kyle Butler and eventually point out Dexter as him!!!

That is not a loophole. The family was put in the police cars right away, never given a chance to say anything, then the season ended like 4 hours later. It looks like in the previews for season 5 they figured out Dexter was at that house and they want to know why.

You get say its a loophole if you haven't given the time to write it out. Season 4 and Season 5 will be connected unlike any other seasons because it doesn't jump time, it continues where it left off.

its possible that the family and dex never came face to face to address that problem....cause the family was ushered away in the cop cars or whatever....but its not really believable that dex would be in the garage while swat never cleared that area. it would have to raise a red flag to someone with any sense on the police.

not to mention, there is a specific line later in the episode when Dex asks Deb about them and she replies along the lines "we've already spoke with them and everything is fine."

No mention to the cops of Kyle in the house? Where he is? What happened? when they were "spoken to."

The only thing that gets me is if Miami Metro would start a Trinity investigation why wouldn't the FBI? More than one bathtub murder, no matter how far apart, would spark an investigation.
