Just started the Following and I'm hooked. Seems like a phenomenal show after the first two episodes and I love it being centered around Poes wok in every way.

I just cant seem to click with these 4 movies. I wasnt blown away on first watches, and 2nd watch throughs haven't done a thing for me. I also think Stoker and Pacific Rim are awful pieces of garbage. Stories We Tell was a nice forgettable experience for me. 2013 was a good year tho.

Edgar Wright's stuff always seems to click with me, and I think The World's End might actually be my favorite of his. I thought Upstream Color was really pretty and was just challenging enough to still be understandable without being overly obtuse or pretentious. Frances Ha is ridiculously white but I thought writing and performances were great, really natural. American Hustle probably benefited a lot for me from the theater experience and I thought it was pretty silly overall, but really loved the cast and the look.

I thought Pacific Rim was just 100% stupid fun, I don't know if I'll ever watch it again but seeing it in 3D on imax was a great experience. I felt the same way about Stories We Tell and with most the other docs I saw this year, maybe its because they were really hyped up in my mind but I wasn't as blown away by The Act of Killing or Blackfish either.

i got a gift card for regal cinemas and was going to see wolf of wallstreet this weekend. but decided to look on tpb for dvd screeners. found a screener for wolf, dallas buyer and american hustle...all dvd screeners.

i hate going to the theater even if its free. its just so over priced and not a value that it makes me sick to be there.

Reaffirming my old age. Listening to hip hop music considered classic and remembering where i was when I heard it and picking it up new on tape at the Soundwaves.

Nothing Shawshanks me quite like the bittersweet love story that is Carlito Brigante & Gail.

The Pachanga heel turn at the end setting up the Benny Blanco from the Bronx run in makes me sad every time.

Biggest pop is when Gail has Carlito locked out of the apartment, so he shoudlerblocks the door, busts the chain, & swagger walks into the bedroom to conquer the poon.

Speaking of Shawshank, that was on TV last night. Every time it's on I'm compelled to watch it, I just feel like a better person afterwards.

Gene Hackman gets all the credit for The Poseidon Adventure, but Shelly Winters & Ernest Borgnine are the ones that kill it.
