Anyone seen the first two episodes of Revolution? Waiting to see if it will stick around before possibly jumping in.
It's halfway decent, not anything special but I've definitely seen a lot worse shows. I was listening to the local rock station yesterday and the Beastie Boys came on, can somebody explain to me why they get played on rock stations? Because I don't understand that at all.

DC101 here in Washington DC plays them all the time. They are considered a hip hop/rap group but they're heavily influenced by rock. Just listen to License to Ill and its a very rap rock kind of album.
"Growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers, the next day you're gone. But the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul. I remember a place, a town, a house, like a lot of houses. A yard like a lot of other yards. On a street like a lot of other streets. And the thing is, after all these years, I still look back...with wonder."
Just finished watching the finale of The Wonder Years. Amazing show, easily my favorite of all time.
About 15 years late on this revelation but was Stone Temple Pilots just a softer copycat of the big four grunge bands? If you look at STP's top hits you can compare the sound..
Plush - Pearl Jam
Interstate Love Song - Alice in Chains (barely, but whatever)
Creep - Nirvana
Vasoline - Soundgarden
Mistakes happen in movie theaters on time-- films start late, the house lights don't go down on time, and in places that are still showing actual film, sometimes that film catches on fire. But it's rare that a mistake happens that so drastic it sends the audience actually running for the exits, with children screaming in horror.
And yet, that was exactly the dramatic scene at a British movie theater this week, when a group of parents and kids gathered to see Madagascar 3 were mistakenly shown Paranormal Activity 4. As one parent told Yahoo UK, they realized fairly quickly that something wasn't right, but the movie opens almost immediately with a flashback from the first film-- when Katie flings her bloodied body directly toward the camera. That's a jump scare that had audiences everywhere losing their minds, but you can imagine just how poorly it went over with the child audience. "Everybody just scrambled for the exits, all you could hear were children crying and screaming. Everyone was very upset. It was only about two minutes worth of the film but it was enough to scar them for life."
