Yeah, but a lot of that True Blood tittage was Paquin's. Quality over quantity. Though for a minute I thought Paz de la Huerta was threatening Paquin's consecutive episode streak. She topped out at three though.

This show is a fucking masterpiece. Amazing writing, amazing acting, great story, it has it all. Nothing touches this except Sopranos, and at this pace, it'll end up better. Id fuck this show if I could.

i agree....but the only thing i would mention is steve buschemi. i dont find him to be very compelling for a main character. idk if its his acting or just how his character is portrayed, but it just doesnt do anything for me.

not baiting you here W2B, but, i really dont understand how you dont like The Wire and you like Boardwalk. Boardwalk is a million times slower, and one can only hope it has half the later season payoff that The Wire does.

p.s. half-face is definitely the coolest character on the show.

I don't know what to say, to me BE is completely enthralling, can't-fucking-wait-for-next-week television. I don't find it slow paced at all, I think every episode has moved things along at a good pace, and i've never been bored watching it. Maybe parts of the long episode 1, but that's a nit pick.

I've been forcing myself to watch The Wire, because everyone and their fucking mother promises it gets better. I just don't find it very interesting, and most of the time, it's flat out boring. This stuff with the docks is really testing my patience, but i'm sticking it out because everyone universally says Season 3 is incredible. So that's my new "breaking point". Mid way Season 3. If im not hooked by then, I just cant do it anymore.

I like when they focus on the projects and the inner workings of the drug dealers. There just isnt enough of that.

I guess it's a case of "to each his own".

I've been watching them on a week to week basis off of sidereel. Not sure if the early ones are up or not still, but they're usually pretty reliable for new shows.
