That was, without question, the best episode of the series so far.

The scene with Nucky and Eli in the conservatory was one of the greatest scenes in television history. Superbly acted by both men.

You just knew Jimmy was going to get that old fuck back at some point, but the scalping was something I didn't see coming. Fantastic stuff. The shit is going hit the fan now, and I can't wait.

Two face and his odd encounter with the squirrel eaters, Eli snapping and murdering a m'fer with a wrench, the irish dude banging the help...there was so much happening in that episode, that Van Aldren & Chalky had the night off and I didn't even notice.

    Fucking amazing.

My roommate likes to ask me what happens in the episodes instead of watching them, it wasn't until that when I noticed van Aldren wasn't in it.

There's been three episodes this season I could say are my favorite of the series, and it's only just kicking off. What a faptastic show.

no chalky or Van Aldren, and still best episode, that is amazing really when you think about it, but it was no doubt best episode.

i thought the episode was dull. the harrow scene in the woods was absolutely pointless. wasnt it already obvious that the guy was in pain mentally from his deformity? did we really need that point to be further emphasized by some long drawn out scene that ended up going nowhere.

i seriously dont understand why they even bothered with the eli/jimmy vs nucky nonsense. now the comadore is out and eli is running back to his brother who says fuck you....did you guys really not see that coming?

this season has been ok, but a big let down. its all over the place. its trying to develop 90 characters and isnt doing a good job with any of them. not to mention these is no major plot being developed either. the shit with nucky is already completed unless they throw in some BS twist

It's not about what we've already established in this show. It's about natural growth and progression. If you didn't find that scene believable and real, and most importantly powerful, well ... fuck you.

                stop with the fanboy nonsense.

i found that scene to be pointless and a complete waste of time. What was the end result? learning that they eat tree rats. if he would have offed himself then i could see it being powerful. But as it was, it offered nothing other than to show richards internal pain...which was already very very well known

the fact that they reinforced that shows me nothing but pure laziness. They could have focused on van alden or chalky or some of the other main characters. Or how about developing that new irishman working for nucky....where is al capone and rothstein. They guys are way more interesting then reinforcing a character direction that has already been established.

To the first bold...Harrow nearly killed himself in one of the tensest moments of the series, a man was scalped, another man had his face bashed in with a wrench, and the Eli/Nucky feud came to a head in what was a fantastic scene. Shit is on. If that's "dull", I don't know what you want.

Second bold. That "nonsense" (the opposition to Nucky and its apparent failure) is the entire impetus of the season and the catalyst for everything that is going to happen now that Nucky is out of the woods with his legal troubles and back in charge of the city. Plus it pushed forward the problems Jimmy is having coping with his 'two dads'.

Third bold. 'The shit with Nucky' is far from completed. He has a ton of fractured relationships to fix (personal, business, and political), and a war to finish.

This was a landmark episode, dude. Not sure what you were watching.

landmark.... ok....i call it predictable. i dont understand why its so important for you fools to try and convince me that your opinion is right. it doesnt matter what anyone thinks. I thought it was dull and predictable.

everything you claim was landmark i knew would happen...predictable....which in turn made the show dull. The shit with harrow in the woods wasnt predictable....but it was completely pointless.

did you honestly think he would kill himself? cmon....anyone in their right mind knew he wasnt gonna do it. then everything that followed was totally lame

                    lamdmark episode....lol

I was thinking this as I was watching it.

At this point, reading your thoughts, and opinions, there's not much reason for you to watch this show anymore, Maynard. If you're not excited about it now, you'll never be.

This mfer has clearly never watched The Wire. Season 3 of The Wire is the standard by which I judge all entertainment.
