While I still love the show, I think it peaked already. It just isn't the same without Jimmy in the mix.

I agree. The show is missing Jimmy badly because while flawed, he was a sympathetic figure and somebody worth rooting for. Margaret is supposed to be carrying that role, but everybody I talk to about the show can't stand her. Her scenes are THE DIRT WORST. Every time I see that hospital, I mentally check out and start to think about other shit, or get u and grab something to drink.

It's still a great show, but as I feared, it peaked when Nucky pulled that trigger. A classic, iconic, shocking televsision moment for sure. But one that probably would have been bettet served for the series finale. That would have been one hell of a way to end the show, with Jimmy fading to black.

Especially if they only did the show for maybe 4 seasons in total. Made the rift between Nucky and Jimmy happen more slowly and kept AC as the main focal point, while only very occasionally showing other cities. Then you end it like that, on a cold rainy night, Nucky shoots Jimmy and takes full control of AC and thats the end of show.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still watch because its a damn good show and I love the setting and that whole era. Plus it still has awesome characters. It just won't be what it could have been.

Rosetti is probably the best character on the show. You never know when he's about to light a dude on fire or something.

Rosetti is probably the scariest character on TV. For a dude to come unhinged as quickly as he does is freaking psycho - but DAMN good tv. I loved Doyle strong-arming that dude then getting the shit scared outta him by Harrow. I think Margaret is gonna go all woman's lib on this show. not sure I dig Nucky being so caught up with Billie.

Will post my thoughts on the episode a little later, but I hate to have to agree with you guys, but I do. BE is still an AMAZING show, but what can it really do after settling the Jimmy/Nucky feud so early on in the series? We'll have awesome bad guys like Gyp Rossetti who will take out bits and pieces of Nucky's crew and cast of characters to keep the surprises in tact and keep us engaged, but ultimately, W2B is right - Margaret will take down Nucky, which SUCKS because she is such an unlikeable character, annoying character. I'm just going to enjoy the ride.

I thought Sunday's was one of the best episodes of the series. Not disappointed at all about them killing off Jimmy, they've done exactly what I wanted to far. I don't see how you can compare the first episodes of a season to a finale, way too early to be making statements like that. Rosetti has been great, and Capone is only getting better

I'm hoping she starts getting it on with that doctor, then Nucky finds out and shoots them both. I know they didn't originally plan to kill Jimmy, so maybe they can work this in at some point.

Margaret definitely falls in the Skyler category. Not particularly likeable, mundane storylines, but necessary to the show.

Why is she necessary? I think she served her purpose already. If she never appeared on the screen again, the shows plot would not change one iota.
