It's officially back July 15th!
Source - AMCTV.com
AMC announced today its summer programming slate, including the highly anticipated premiere of the first part of Breaking Bad's final season on Sun., Jul. 15 at 10/9c. The final season of the Emmy® Award-winning and critically acclaimed drama, produced by Sony Pictures Television, consists of 16 episodes, with the first eight episodes beginning July 15th and culminating with the series' final eight episodes next summer 2013.
Over four seasons, Breaking Bad has garnered a total of six Emmys® wins; a Peabody Award; it has been named to the American Film Institute's (AFI) list of the "Top 10 Programs of the Year" (2008, 2010, 2011); and been heralded as one of the best TV dramas on television. Filmed on location in Albuquerque, NM, the series stars 2008, 2009 and 2010's Emmy® Award winner for Outstanding Lead Actor Bryan Cranston; 2010 Emmy® winner for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Aaron Paul; Anna Gunn; Dean Norris; Betsy Brandt; RJ Mitte; Bob Odenkirk; and Jonathan Banks. Breaking Bad is produced by High Bridge and Gran Via Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television for AMC. Breaking Bad Season 4 will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on June 5.
Not a fan of it being 8 episodes this summer and then another 8 episodes next summer though.

It's hilarious because I've turned at least 10 of my friends onto this show and now they're hooked as much as I am. Hell, I just finished showing Season 1 to one of my friends just last night...and the best part is even though I've seen the shows so many times, it's still just as good and you still notice new things every time you watch them (or at least I do). Easily my favorite show of all-time.

I would have to check my dvd collection but off the top of my head I still think The Wire is better. But BB is way up there. When Brnt convinced me to start watching it just so happened that Best Buy had the first three season on bluray on sale. I bought them and my wife and I ended up going through all three seasons in about a week and a half. We were hooked.Comment

I started watching this the first episode when I saw a commercial with Cranston running around in the desert in his undies/no homo
I tried telling guys at work about it, but it wasn't until 2 years later when people started catching on.Comment

So I'm glad I decided to check out BestBuy.com on Friday to see if they had a good price on the upcoming Season 4 (comes out tomorrow 6/5) on Blu Ray since at the time Amazon wanted $40. Sure enough it was listed on BB for $25 so I decided to pre-order it and pick it up in the store...then I found out I had an added bonus of $10 reward bonus which expired on 6/2 (the next day). So BB Season 4 on Blu Ray for $15 and some change!
