She is honestly the best person on the show right now. At first I hated her because she was such a pushover and scared little girl, but in only 6 episodes shes completely transformed into an all powerful being.

The Daenerys storyline is my favorite in the books is well. Can't wait to see the rest of her journey play out on the screen.

If you haven't read these books your missing out. They might be some of the best i've read. HBO did a really good job with the series too. They tell the story how the author told it AND managed to throw in more sex. Which is sayin somethin cuz there was already alot of sex.

and if you haven't noticed already, the author doesn't give a shit about killing or maiming any characters you think you care about. This is the only series i've read where i honestly felt like any character could die at any time.

Agreed...people don't realize that right now, but they will shortly. There is not a single character in this series that is safe.

I'm already upset about it. I've read books 1 and 2, and am about 1/10 of the way through 3, so I know what's coming this season and I am very bitter about it.

I'm nearly halfway through Book Three, and I've seen the first 7 episodes...

Pretty Solid. The book obviously blows the show out of the water, but the show isn't too bad in itself.

edit// Even if you're not particularly fond of reading, you should really give the books a chance. Some of the best I've read in quite a while. I think I've knocked down around 2400-2500 pages in about 2 weeks.

Just read a really interesting theory on Jon Snow's parents:

 

Apparently some people think he is Rhaegar and Lyanna's son and that Lyanna made Ned promise not to reveal it so Robert wouldn't kill Jon. It actually makes a ton of sense to me and would be really awesome if its true.

Sidenote- did anyone else think that after Khal made his rant full of promises, Dany sits him down and asks if he was serious about that whole raping all their women thing?
