She just one of those catty bitches who just says mean shit because she is in over her head. She is basically a Real House Wives of Kings Landing character at this point.Comment

Especially when you're comparing it to The Great Gatsby which is required reading for millions of people every year. Yeah, not in the same boat at all.Comment

I don't really watch the show, but I can't miss the red wedding. That shit is one of my favorite parts of the books.

I read the Great Gatsby in high school. I can't tell you anything about the story except "Zelda" and "West Egg."
I've read all of the ASoIaF books. I can draw you a detailed map of Westeros and quote lines that I haven't read in 4 years.
There's a difference between "a classic work of fiction" and "classical literature." I'll let you decide which one is which.Comment

Obscure to fantasy book readers and people who pay attention to bestseller list? No. Obscure to the general public(which does neither). Yes.

To be fair, I want those reaction videos, too. I told a few show watchers this weekend (who have NO CLUE about future events) that I want them to record themselves watching these last two episodes. People are going to essplode.[REDACTED]Comment

“One of the girls in the show who got her [dress] off the most in the first couple of seasons now doesn’t at all,” GoT star Oona Chaplin, who plays Talisa Maegyr, told reporters. “She said, ‘I want to be known for my acting, not for my breasts.’ ”
Oona didn’t specify who she was referring to, but Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, certainly fits: She sure used to go naked on the show, and she sure doesn’t anymore. What’s more, she’s received some uncomfortable attention for her nudity of late: Her Broadway production of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” had to increase security to prevent frenzied audience members from filming her brief nude scene, according to Gawker.]Comment
