A spinoff of Wildcard's thread in a way. But while posting in his it got me wondering exactly which shows we are all currently watching and why.
I am a TV nut so bear with me lol
Friday Night Lights (I should take this off my list because I've watched the final season already on 101 but meh)
Boardwalk Empire- This is my mafia-esc fix ever since my beloved Sopranos left HBO. The story and the atmosphere of the 1920s is absolutely superb. I am insanely disappointed I will be off in Afghanistan when the second season airs.
The Cape- A Dark and clever Super Hero show that rapes and than shits on what Heroes could ever be. The fact that some of the stories within the show are dark makes it awesome.
No Ordinary Family- Another good super heroey type show. I just like the effects and the story of the family. Another great original idea put to work.
Chicago Code- Mainly because I absolutely love Matt Lauria as an actor. He was fantastic in Friday Night Lights and brings another unbelievably realistic character to a show. Also it's nice to have a cop show that doesn't go day by day in car all the time without a long term storyline playing through. Southland is a good example of what I mean. Each episode is a different plot. I mean there are some plots that last awhile but it took nearly 3 seasons to finally do.
Southland- I didn't say I didn't like it the show (see above in Chicago Code). It has a bunch of characters with different vibrant personalities which I like. It's one of the few cop shows to keep me interested *cough* Blue Bloods *cough*
Dexter- A tv show about a serial Killer, nuff said.
How I Met Your Mother- An amazing tv show with an amazing Original Idea. To be honest I dont wanna write anymore cause I'm lazy and watching a movie.
