I've actually been sucked into a few Vampire Diaries episodes because Monday nights are jam packed with shitty girly TV that my girlfriend watches (Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, 90210, The Bachelor, etc.). There is no alternative because they are all recording anyway and you can't change the channel if you're recording multiple shows. So I will watch the Hawks game on my comp or dick around on VSN while sitting in the same room. While not as shitty as the aforementioned Pretty Little Liars or the new 90210 (mind-blowingly terrible) it's pretty damn stupid.

But I won't rip on Houston for watching it, we all have skeletons. Like a certain show on ABC Family that stars Kelsey Grammar's daughter and a host of other hot chicks that I happen to enjoy more than I should.

Honestly though, if someone were to sit through the entire first season of The Vampire Diaries I can't see too many people not liking it.
It takes place in HS but it's not anything close to Twilight.

After the crappy 3rd season of True Blood I'm 100% confident that it's not a better show.
