Big Bang Theory is another unfunny show that people mysteriously watch.

We all know most peole are simple minded dolts who enjoy drivel. So what other point are you trying to make, f16harm?

Why are you comparing quality to ratings? There is often no correlation. People like simple entertainment sometimes.

That this forum's view on most TV is nothing close to the norm and should be viewed with as much insight as a Kornstar homeristic NFL post. I mean, look at the butthurt folks over my initial comment on the first page regarding NBC shows. If young people (identical to those here) "liked" these shows....then their demo numbers wouldn't suck moose cock.

No, but WANTING a group to watch a show and that group watching it aren't the same thing. Arrested Developments target demographic was that, yet no one watched it. It's not necessarily because what that group was watching was better. You keep holding onto ratings as if ratings means it's good television. My counter to that is that most people have poor taste, which is why some of the more critically successful shows either don't last or are supported by the network despite not so great ratings.

You really are quite adept at making some astoundingly bad/pointless arguments sometimes f16harm. What point is it that you're missing? No one is arguing that these shows get good numbers, their arguing that good numbers don't make a good show.

And would you stop with the butthurt crap? No one here is butthurt over anything, except for maybe you. You're WAY too excited about ratings numbers for a dude that has nothing to do with the television industry.

Quite frankly, I often worry when my taste in tv/movies/music delves into "the norm".

The latest episode of The Office pulled a 7.87...

Unless you work for Nielsen, I'm unsure why you use ratings as a barometer for quality content.

And butthurt? I only REALLY like Parks & Rec. Are you already this bored? It's only 11 AM where I am.

It seems as though f16harm hates the NBC shows fare more than some of the guys here like them. He's passionate!

Maybe he's the guy watching Mike & Molly, america's #1 new "comedy".

My roommate got roped into attending the live taping of the pilot episode of Mike & Molly. When I asked him how it was, he could only slowly shake his head.

Later, he mentioned it being depressing because, while it was awful, he had a feeling it would be successful.

I imagine f16harm was there, laughing before the "applause" light came on.

Multi-cam sitcoms need to go die in a fire somewhere.

I think both of you guys are very naive, that's all I can say. Because obviously you guys have your own thoughts on the subject.

And SethMode, I understand you are going to go and waste a lot of money at UPenn to administer my doc's vaccinations each year, but please stop with the pompous inferences about knowing my personal life outside of MM or VSN or whatever the fuck we will call this community next month.

                          P.S. Brnt04Life, Office had 7.87 million viewers. It's demo was 4.0

I guess it's better than making up stories on VSN about having a wife. Isn't it time for Johnny's drum lesson, Mark?
