Sorry, I didn't know it was still cool to practice Taboo. I never understood counterculture people like you. Usually, shit is popular because it's entertaining. Jersey Shore sucks, I refuse to watch it, but I know a hell of a lot of people that play drinking games with it and still follow the story.

Late to the party here, but wanted to add three things:

1) If ratings are such a great correlation to quality, then why did my Mom cry when "I'll Fly Away" was cancelled?

2) F16's arguments have been spot on, even though his arguments aren't in response to anyone else's postings in this thread. His comebacks and putdowns have been unreal, though.

Smallville was the first TV show that came to mind but apparently it is in its last season. I have no idea how that show fares critically or ratings-wise, but my brother is a huge fan and after catching a few episodes, I determined that it was shit.
