Dinner For Schmucks - ***1/4 Stars.

This is funnier than "Grown Ups" and that one had Sandler, Rock, Smith, Spade and Schneider in it (90s-00s Comedy Legion of Doom).

Recommended until The Other Guys comes out.

      Story thoughts:

The bits with the mice are equally creepy and heartbreaking once you realize why Carrell makes his little dioramas.

Galafinakis is funnier in The Hangover.

As much of a dumbass as Carrell is portrayed to be, he's the most relatable/likable character in the film... Rudd is a close second as he plays the straight man to Carrell's goofy misguided taxidermist.

I fell asleep by the end of Choke, maybe because I knew how it would end.

Fuck Dinner for Schmucks, go see the original, 1998's Le Diner de Cons. It's a really well done comedy.

Anyway, I just saw 2012, and it was delightfully shittastic. I hate John fucking Cusack, but this was so bad I could hate in a fun way. -10/10.

                      Righteous Kill

Such a ridiculously bad script. Pacino is horrible, DeNiro is horrible, and both ultimately get bogged down by the script. It's as if they thought they could just throw together a cast full of names (Hey look, Brian Dennehy! Oh hey, that's Carla Gugino!) and a good movie would come out of it. What we get is totally contrived, utterly boring, horse shit. If you watch this, know that there are some hilarious scenes involving 50 Cent, including one of the worst stunt effects of all time.

                      4/10

Ninja Assassin. Wasn't that tight, just a lot of gore and action scenes.

The third one's straight up cheese (with the paintball teams eating it all through the movie and then that one kid diving on a grenade...).

I guarantee that if you show the first one to any kid below the age of 10, they'll piss their pants.

                              Dinner for Schmucks.

Pretty disappointing. The plot was way to contrived and for the most part, unbelievable.

                              2/4.

Daybreakers - Interesting take on the vampire mythos. However, the story seemed rushed to a degree and didn't quite have enough depth for me. There were some sweet vampire takedowns though.
