Random contribution to this thread but has anyone here seen the documentary Global Metal? I watched it a few weeks ago in my anthropology class (professor was a huge metalhead) and I found it very interesting. Basically this anthropologist travels all across the world in search of metal culture, showcasing that within globalization the different countries have created their own style of metal based off each particular country's traditions, but overall everyone shares the same reasons for wanting to become a part of the culture.

Saw Alice Cooper/Iron Maiden a few weeks ago and for anyone sitting on the fence about going please do.

Cooper was excellent and it was an outdoor show and I kind of wish he would of came on when it was dark.

Maidens show was a clean performance. I haven't seen a band play songs that well ever.
