Everyone's infected according to the CDC guy from Season One.

What's weird is that if the kid with glasses caught something that speeds up the process (a supervirus... something), coughs whatever he had into the water supply, and dies?

Either dorky kid spreads his zombie-ness while everyone sleeps...

OR

...anyone who feels the need to loofah their taint is gonna get a special surprise that they can spread to rest of the community.
