Well I agree with that, I'm totally a pro 'makeup/costume' over CGI. But a movie on this scale I don't think could be done any other way. Anyway, I guess that's why to me it doesn't even feel like a Planet of the Apes movie.

I get that Mark was on a future Planet the whole time, thats why the "HOLY" site was his original ships crash site....

But at the end when he gets in that little space ship and ends up crashing in DC at the "Lincoln monument," why the hell does everything look so close to the real DC (Marks DC). I mean one would think a world run by the apes would look totally different than what man came up with! Apes driving in police cars that look exactly like real life police cars WTF!

One of the two ironies, is that this is one of the laziest, un-thought out "jokes" I've ever seen.

Have a problem with alcohol? There is a solution. A.A. has a simple program that works. It’s based on one alcoholic helping another.

Here's my question. In the original and follow up movies, the results of the Ape Earth were from nuclear devastation, right? So why does this show the Apes turning the Earth into their Earth? Remember Heston's,"they blew it all up". And the sequel that had the underground nuke shit going on. Seems like a deviation from the original angle.

The pre-release buzz for this movie with the early screenings are calling this a surprise hit of the summer. Saying its a creative and well thought out prequel that stands on its own in the franchise.

Planet of the Apes franchise+A ton of CGI action+James Franco=money.

A lot of people thought when it was officially announced that it was going to be a disaster.

Yeah BB this movie looks really good IMO. I'd like to see this and Captain America at the movies.

Heard Lithgow is on point in this movie.
