Even if Batman 3 is a terrible movie, it will still be a box office success. It will be made no matter what, all that is left to be seen is whether or not Nolan will be directing, and at this point it sounds like he will be back.

I don't really care about the pattern of "Part three movies sucking." Here's another pattern, "Batman movie director's second movie sucking" the Nolan-team sure didn't fall for that one.

Nolan's not a cash money director....he did the 2nd batman after a hardsell from WB,talking to Ledger, and seeing that there was a story to be told...

top teir director doesnt return for 3rd batman film....but due to box office success...next film gets pushed anyway..

Good to see you're going on outdated news.

Nolan and company have a story they would like to tell. When Nolan is done with Inception, he'll start working on the Batman 3 script, movie will be filmed in 2011, and in theaters in 2012 as I've been saying.

Batman Begins was a great movie without the Joker, the same thing will happen with Batman 3. The Dark Knight does have the greatest rogues gallery in comics. Remember?

I'm not sure what stupid ass point your trying to make in the last part of your post, where you mention the director not returning to Batman 3 as if it's happened before. It's a retarded point and doesn't make sense, so I will ignore it.

begins. was a very good movie...Knight was a great movie, it topped Begins in almost every way and your man crush turned in what came to be his career defining performance....

            How do you follow that?

now the only sites reporting that Nolan's on board & that filming starts in 2011 also have megan fox cast as catwoman....do you happen to see where the credibility is lacking there gobby?

Bitch, I've been reporting Batman 3 will shoot in 2011 with legit links for months now. In case you missed it:

Out of The Windy City, the scuttlebutt is that the Bat-Team is returning Chicago in 2010. Since Nolan and co. will be working on INCEPTION for half of 2010, I’m taking this to mean that they’ll set up shop in Chi-Town during the second half of next year with filming actually taking place in 2011.

From L.A., the word is that director Chris Nolan will go to work on the BATMAN 3 script once he’s totally done with INCEPTION in mid-2010. His brother, Jonathan Nolan, and David Goyer will again be involved with the B3 story and script.

Remember, Mr. Nolan has already admitted to “musing” with J-Nol and Goyer about a possible B3 story – going as far to admit that they’ve come up with a story they’re interested in telling.

Also, a lot of critics liked Begins more then The Dark Knight so...

                  Your argument is invalid.

Hey fucknut you are retarded if you think Nolan and company won't be involved in a third film. The second one made so much money you bet your ass there will be a third with Nolan's involvement. I heard Nolan wants to film the entire 3rd film in IMAX. Won't happen but it shows he's thinking about.

                              This is cetainly true:

Hey folks, Harry here at 30,000 feet flying from Chicago to Austin! Love Wifi on planes! Now you may have noticed the DVD COLUMN is not up today. I've been doing extensive travel recently - and just haven't had the time to write it, but when I get home I'm going to start cracking at it.

Though none of that is why you clicked on this story. When I realized that I could write and post a story from the sky - I knew that this story that I kinda stumbled into on this bout of travel... well, it's the sort of thing that is so potentially cool - if it happens. I have to say upfront that the nature of this story is a rumor, not because I don't have solid sources, I do... but because it could simply NOT WORK OUT. That happens sometimes. It is something that the production team are "considering" - but it is an extremely costly process, but one that I believe we would all love to see happen.

The THIRD chapter of Christopher Nolan's Caped Crusader's saga could very well be FULLY shot in IMAX, not IMAX Digital - but the beautiful, stunning IMAX that we saw pieces of THE DARK KNIGHT in.

Now this is something that I'm sure a lot of you will feel is a no-brainer. Nolan blew us away with the IMAX sequences in that film - but it was a very tough process to work in. Mainly due to the limitations of how many available real IMAX rigs there are. Not only that, but lenses had to be created, adapted and god forbid one broke down. Part of the reason that Nolan went forward with INCEPTION first - besides taking a creative break from the cape and cowl adventures... was possibly to create a few new IMAX cameras made to his specs. Once again - the cost of shooting an entire feature film on IMAX... the stock, the time it takes to reset, to load, to move the cameras... Well... it is daunting, but as Nolan proved with DARK KNIGHT - the difference is stunning.

I'm going to continue to pursue this story further - to try to get some official comments, but as I was flying out of Chicago... and I was looking down at part of Nolan's Gotham... it just felt like the perfect story to post from my first flying Wifi adventure! So what do you think? Should Nolan shoot the entire next film that way?

Of course every actor in Hollywood would want to be in Batman 3 if Nolan wanted them. To bad Two Face is dead.

Two Face kicks ass so it sucks that he got limited time in Nolan's Gotham. Eckhart did an amazing job too.

Pretty much interview Eckhart has done for whatever movies coming out, they've asked about Two Face.

BEVERLY HILLS, California — When we last saw crusading district attorney/ horrifically scarred psychopath Harvey "Two-Face" Dent, things weren't looking too good for the guy. His plans had failed, he'd lost his lady and he fell a distance that would kill most mortal men.

So what does Aaron Eckhart do now? He's a red-hot star, coming off one of the biggest movies of the decade. The folks behind the franchise keep giving cryptic clues that there will be a third film, but no one seems to even entertain the notion that Two-Face could still be alive — a rare occurrence in a town where characters survive falls like this one, all in the name of a sequel.

While Eckhart hangs in limbo these days, should he send Christopher Nolan a "Thinking of You" bouquet? Perhaps a fruit basket with a note explaining how people survive longer falls all the time?

"Well, if I was a smarter person, I would do those things," laughed Eckhart, who is biding his time these days diversifying with the September 18 romantic flick "Love Happens" opposite Jennifer Aniston and the sci-fi action flick "Battle: Los Angeles," which began principal photography Wednesday. "I'd send him flowers. I'd buy him a car."

Instead, Eckhart only has one unwavering opinion to offer about the next Batman movie: "If Chris called me, I would certainly do it."

That's where the trouble comes in. Nolan and his team have made two instant-classic comic book films by adhering to a policy of realism that has made us all believe that Batman could walk among us. And when it comes to forced twists that bring back assumed-dead characters, well, it seems unlikely that they'd want to flip Two-Face's coin over again.

"As far as I'm concerned, my character's dead," Eckhart said of his final conversations with the "Dark Knight" team as they went their separate ways. "I've sort of just gone on with my life. I don't have any expectations of being in the next 'Dark Knight,' if there is a 'Dark Knight.' I have no knowledge of one.

"I would do anything for Chris," Eckhart added of his willingness to return as Two-Face if the "Batman 3" script were to somehow figure out a way to bring him back. "If Chris wanted me to ... I don't know, bring his tea or something like that, I would do it. I had such a good time making that movie, and he's such a great filmmaker."

But, as the fans know, once upon a time, the choice was made to kill Two-Face in "The Dark Knight" and let the Joker live — a blueprint forever complicated by the untimely death of Oscar winner Heath Ledger after filming wrapped. Now, it seems, there are no common villains to carry over to the third flick, and Eckhart said a reboot of baddies is likely in order.

"I think ['Dark Knight'] was always Heath's movie, and Heath was definitely the motor and the vehicle that was to continue on," Eckhart said, perhaps revealing original plans to have Ledger's Joker return for the third film. "I'm not sure that it's not better just to start all over and find different characters for the [next] movie."
