OMG IRISH ISN'T HIPSTER! HE LIKES MAINSTREAM! THE LIST IS A SHAM!

Now before everyone gets all Woy Music on me, let's clear this up. I really liked this album when I was at college. Maybe it is because I am arousing girls at college and the romantic in me likes this album. Maybe it is because I am high and drunk a lot. I don't know how my brain works, only Jesus knows. But I listened to this album a lot this fall semester. Like I am sure my roomies got tired of hearing it and me yelling the words to Novacane. But I am sorry. When you go to a state school and are romancing the ladies, bands like Girls and Destroyer aren't common knowledge for these ladies. And girls like being romanced to music they know. At least the retards at UT do. So now when I listen to this album I associate sexy times with it. Weird how the brain makes connections. So this album is here because of how great a tool it is for my social awkward self to romance women.

I listened to this album today, as I do with all albums I am about to put on this list, and I didn't really like it that much. Maybe because I listened to it too much, maybe because I am sober, maybe because the ladies I used to romance are in Knoxville, Jesus only knows. And looking at this list I think I would put Danny Brown here and just swap the two albums. It's whatever tho. EVERYTIME SOMEBODY ASKS DO I LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM TO GET AT WOMEN, I SAY YEAH. I am so clever.

NUMBER 8

The War on Drugs - Slave Ambient

I actually had some other album listed here to start the list. Like I said I listen to the album the day before I post(today), then I write down my thoughts or whatever this has become at midnight on the correct day(night owl). But as I was listening to that album I decided I had miss-ranked the album so I moved it up. This is my list and that is how I say things go(power trip). BUT.....

Nothing against this album because I still love it. The singers voice(Adam Granduciel, I think), has probably my favorite voice of every album I have posted. Literally if there was some kind of voice transplant and I could have his, I would play my guitar a lot more. I was looking at reviews for this because I spent most of my day thinking of what to say for the other album(not really, I mostly write all this spur of the moment(which is why it is so random)), and most reviewers called his sound Americana, with Dylan and Springsteen influences. I can kind of see it(no I can't). But anyway I love this album and if Jhen still needs 14 hour drive music, I would highly recommend this. I could definitely drive through the great plains on my way to the west coast and vlog(internetnerd) the trip. Then create a montage with this album as the soundtrack. It might get a couple thousand hits on vimeo.
