Jamming to this "I Am" joint right now. This is nice Len B. Thanks for the drop. I like this beat a lot. Just ripped it in like 8 bars lol.
Does anyone else just start rapping random shit to themselves sometimes just because the beat is so sick? I mean I have very little aspiration to be a rapper but sometimes I just get that feel from a beat that I have to give back to it.Comment

It's time I let you hoes know about One Be Lo (my avatar):
One Be Lo - Rocketship
[ame=http://www.zshare.net/audio/56627624c1fd847e/]20-one_be_lo-rocketship-b2r.mp3 - 5.06MB[/ame]
THIS is what rap is about to me. One Be Lo is one half of Binary Star, and represents what type of rap I love. No fake gangster shit, no gimmicks, no ridiculous pop hooks, etc. Just straight deep lyrics and complex rhymes. He hails from Michigan.
As usual let me know what you think.
I remember when Bam' was hot, Planet Rock, Jordan was the man to stop
Knowledge every chance I got, keys to the master lock
Deals not real, unless it's God's will
Got NASA job skills, call me astronaut Neil
I reach for the top and be the first to leave orbit
Report it, Phrikshun, Decompoze reinforce it
I'm here to paint a portrait, untainted by the corporate
Defy forces of your gravity with fly orders
These accomplishments, via rocketship, compliment my confidence
I be among stars without your documents
Big budget marketing, demographic targeting
All I need is beats and rhymes (so go and spark it then)Last edited by Len B; 03-06-2009, 01:27 PM.Comment

Anyone here listen to old school Lil' Keke??????
It's not the same style as the music in this thread but that shit is awesome. He could stay flowing on a song forever.
I don't think you guys would like it though. Maybe it's just a Houston thing..............

I'll keep posting these even though I'm not getting any comments. Someone out there is getting better music with this thread :D
Crown City Rockers - Sidestep

Group formed in Boston, but Raashan Ahmad (MC) is from Cali and I think a couple are also from other areas. Their music kind of reminds me of The Roots, as they have a drummer/keyboardist/bassist/etc.Comment

Dude has a very nice style. Very lyrical. Reminds me of a Talib stylistically and vocally I'm picking up some hints of Saigon. Only in the voice inflection and the accent.
Dude is real though. Thanks for the drop.Comment
