Yeah, with you Palooza. I went in thinking it would be a bit of a grind and I found it to be very enjoyable, well written, and funny at times. Great first episode, all things considered when it comes to first episodes. I'd definitely say that it was more than okay.Comment

So...before I click 'play' or 'delete' on my DVR, is this Sorkin liberal propaganda disguised as entertainment?Comment

Not too many likable characters so far. Slumdog Millionaire is alright, but mainly because he's the real Jay Leno of this show. The girl has some potential but it looks like she's gonna be in a love triangle with not one but two lame guys. Probably gonna bring her character down.Comment

I loved it. I can point out a few negatives/potential downfalls though...
-Blonde haired intern-turned-associate producer has a hideous face, and we already have two guys vying for her attention. This might be Jessa from Girls all over again.
-The score sounded exactly the same as Moneyball's. It's good but the Sorkin influence is strong enough from the dialogue as it is.
-I hope it doesn't have an "everything worked out okay" moment at the end of every news show. Too many things worked in their favor at the right time during the hour broadcast. Acceptable for the pilot but it will get annoying if this happens consistently.Comment

It was good. Not spectacular but good.
I feel like Sorkin using real world issues is going to lead to him becoming preachy somewhere down the road but there was a solid mix of dramatic stuff and comedy, which I actually didn't expect as I was expecting a straight drama.Comment
