Just watched a commercial on espn.

    Picked up these

    "a senator was just shot"
"i think we just got bin laden"
    "japan earthquake"

So looks like we know what the show "news" stories will be about. Kinda don't like that. But if acting is good, I'll continue to watch.

To be fair, a TV show about mass media that didn't have a liberal slant would be horrifically unrealistic.

Yet this show manages to still be horrifically unrealistic in many other ways.

Yea, you did point that out in the chatbox earlier. I will keep watching for now, just to see where it goes.

Liked the show, it was pretty alright. I'll watch the next episode to see if its worth continuing.

Reminded why I don't watch the news in the first place.

Show is like a petri dish/mutation chamber for all of Sorkin's worst habits and most annoying tropes.

Factor in the "Fake News: Brought to you by Hindsight" smugness, and it's borderline unwatchable.

Show got immediately renewed after its first episode, but then the ratings dropped significantly for the second episode.

                    This could get ugly.

I am an obvious liberal, but this series comes across as sanctimonious crap. And, even worse, sanctimonious crap that isn't even trying to be clever. The pilot pretty much made me delete any future recording from my DVR. I really can't understand the show's popularity with viewers vs. critics.
I pretty much agree with everything the show says ... but it still comes across as sanctimonious crap.
OK. It's not 1967 anymore - Walter Cronkite can't save the news. Get over it. Surely, a clever dude like Aaron Sorkin can come up with better conclusions.

That pilot was aces. I'm totally in. Jeff Daniels, like I anticipated from the first time I saw the Northwestern bit, is excellent. And the supporting cast seemed to really click.

That must be Sorkin's boy on the inside. LOL

This show is problematic on many levels. This last episode was a gigantic mess.

Ever since seeing Network, anything dealing with the producing of TV gets me excited.

Ah well, better luck next time.
