Just the end-credits scenes from The Avengers and Thor: The Dark World for a couple character introductions.

Just Howard the Duck. Don't know if it was supposed to be a joke or a hint @ a sequel or a spinoff. I'm assuming you saw Groot dancing in his flower pot.

Wow... Guardians was excellent, I was surprised by how dam funny it was, and there were never really any slow parts it kept churning out quality scenes. I was one of those not knowing what to expect, I haven't read the comics but that was awesome.

In the comics Star Lord's story is a lot different, but I'd say they way they did it in the film worked better than it would have if they followed the comics.

Being the good "gatherer" you are, I hope you didn't drive home.

Really liked the movie. Thought it continued Marvel's streak and I can see why it's breaking records. It's just a fun movie that anyone can enjoy, while still having enough 'comic book' in it to keep the fans happy.

In the post credit sequence, was really hoping they'd give Cosmo some lines. He was one of my faves in the Abnett/Lanning series.

                        Deadpool is officially a go.

                        2/12/16

Tim Miller to direct. Nobody signed on to star yet, but the reports are betting heavily on Ryan Reynolds returning.

At the the same time, Fox takes 'Assassin's Creed' off the summer 2015 calendar, while shifting 'The Fantastic Four' and 'Paper Towns'.

It's gotta be Reynolds. That test footage was golden. Wonder if this one will be live action.

COULD SPIDER-MAN JOIN THE MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE?
Sources say they'd like to work the web-slinger in, but nothing is confirmed yet.

According to HitFix, Marvel Studios is looking to bring Spider-Man into their Cinematic Universe -- but makes it clear that there is no confirmation of this happening, only reports of early discussions.

Again, this is mostly speculation, but here's the report from HitFix (which has proven to have a pretty good track-record with rumouriffic stuff):

"While I can't get the confirmations I need to verify the story, I'm hearing that there are some very cool "Spider-Man" plans being discussed that would help Sony refocus their enormously important franchise while also opening up some connections in the onscreen Marvel movie universe that would blow fandom's minds. Will it work out? I don't know. I would love to be able to state for sure that it's happening. What seems clear from what I've heard is that Marvel wants to be able to play with all of their characters, and if they can make that work creatively and on a corporate level, they will, and that means the world gets bigger again."

The site also indicates that Fox is less cooperative when it comes to sharing their X-Men characters with Marvel. They seem to be content with their own shared universe, since they're expanding it with a Deadpool movie in 2016.
