It is Iron Patriot...normally a good guy...but, perhaps here, under the control of Mandarin.

I wouldn't call Iron Patriot a good guy considering he's Norman Osborn. The Thunderbolts and Dark Avengers are a "reformed" group of supervillians.

Rumor has it that Mandarin is the leader of the terrorist organization from the first movie. Not a huge stretch seeing how the organization was called the Order of the Ten Rings or some shit like that

i can see that even though they were pretty central to the Mandarin's Character, which is Why I understood them not using him...but,,,why now?

really? maybe i shouldn't have checked the wiki site of the movie but it doesn't say it's Norman Osborn...

Iron Patriot in the comic books is Norman Osborn. Obviously that will change in the movie because Marvel doesn't have the rights to any Spiderman properties
