Sunday, Julianna Barwick, Puro Instinct, Abe Vigoda, and Flying Lotus come to campus!

I saw Abe Vigoda when they were touring with Vampire Weekend. They were really disappointing. They've since seemingly changed their sound, so they might put a better show on now. I just didn't really care for their work prior to their last album though honestly.

I'm not really that psyched for them, but I think they did change quite a bit. It's more of a throwback to new wave now, definitely not as "hard" as they were.

Had an excellent night in Pontypridd on Friday watching The Blockheads.

Ian Dury will always be missed but with his band playing as well as this at least his music will live on for a few years yet.

I went to the Jason Aldean/Eric Church show Saturday. Interesting crowd that made it kind of hard to enjoy the show. We stopped counting after the seventh person we saw getting dragged up the lawn, throwing up all over the place - this was before the two main acts even came on. I'm all for having a good time and some rowdiness is expected given the acts, but I guess I don't see the point of spending 30$ to go to a show, pay for enough 11$ beers to get drunk, and then miss everything because you pass out and the cops carry you out.

Whatever though, Eric Church is probably my favorite musician out there right now. So good, and so good live too. Jason Aldean was pretty good too.

Cracking start to the summer. Then later on we've got Roger Daltrey, Battles, Truckers of Husk, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Half Man Half Biscuit, Toots & The Maytals, Gruff Rhys, John Mayall, The Specials and The Beat.

That's the best year's line up of music I've seen in Wales for a long time. Now I've just got to find a shed-full of money to pay for it all.

Going to see Fitz and the Tantrums tonight at 8. Then after that going to see Stephen Marley at 10. Should be decent good.
