I dont know if id call Bedouin Soundclash reggie, lol, but those guys are awesome. Love their sound. Very unique.
I've watched some yt vids of the Toronto show, and they are such a great live band. Non stop energy for an hour and a half. I think that's why they sell out whenever they go on tour. This time around there are a lot more Gwen Stefani solo fans, but her music doesn't hold a candle to what No Doubt produces.

@ the show people were saying BSC was a reggae band haha. They def have a different sound and one of their songs totally reminded me of Sublime.

Saw them at Carb day this year and it was boring as hell, but I love this performance:

Didn't actually see them in concert, but fuckin Buckcherry was playing a song live before the NASCAR race yesterday.

My ears proceeded to bleed for the next three minutes. They were doing their shitty cover of Highway Star. Honestly my mind cannot comprehend how terrible it sounded.

I had tickets to Bonnaroo but my girlfriend and I sold them because we cut ties with the two other people we were going with, so missed that.

Now I have no clue what I'm going to do about shows. My girlfriend broke up with me, and she's the only person I'd go to shows with. So on my mind I have Andrew Jackson Jihad in July, they come to MT. Pleasant and Chicago, but I'd much rather go to Chicago, but everyone I know their is affiliated with my girlfriend. And I don't know anyone beside her that like them.

Someone wants to go to Lollapalooza with me but I'm not sure if I want to go with her, should probably order those tickets. It does look like I have someone to go see Andrew Bird, The Weakerthans, and Matt & Kim, but I'm still looking for a partner to see Regina Spektor.

Hopefully I get at least four of the six mentioned events.

Rock the Bells > any concert you will see this summer. If you like hip hop spend the money and go see this show, I promise you you will not be disappointed.

The price is heavy but it'll be worth it. Where are you seeing the show? I have to warn you that not all advertised artists are there.. you have to look on the website for whos going to be at certain shows.

Yeah Common didnt show and we luckily got Mos Def.. altho his was pretty disappointing.. he was fucking around too much and not doing any of his essentials.. But him and Talib did their Blackstarr shit and that was crazy.

Seems like you're going to get gipped out of a few guys yourself, but getting Gza and Raekwon is solid. Fuck Ice Cube and Busta for their lack of appearances. Rza was bonkers last nite.

I know I'm from a completely different world to you but that sounds like a horrible way to see a show.

Live music should be a "down here" experience, not an "up there" one.

It's down and dirty, in amongst the sweaty proles, ankle deep in plastic glasses, smashed bottles and assorted detritus.

A personal waiter sounds awfully bourgeois, a box is positively royal.

I know overt ostentation goes hand in hand with Hip Hop these days but even so, real living happens down with the real people.

                        'VIP' stands for 'Already Dead'.
                        Z(u, w) = Z0(w)[1-exp{-b(w)u}]

...and she said "Well I don't think you're a fishmonger. I think you've done a plop in the wrong lavatory."

I see what your saying... but the whole concert is all seats, theres no real "open" part... having our own private box area gives us enough space to be comfortable and get a great view, its different from like a press or luxury box at a football game

Just got tickets to Andrew Bird in October. On Monday I'll work on getting Regina Spektor and Why? tickets. Why? should be easily accessible, but it looks like I'll be stuck in the balcony for Regina, stupid seated venues. Also, Matt and Kim tickets should be purchased soon, and possibly The Weakerthans. Should be an awesome fall.

Time to resurrect this thread methinks.

Went to see Future of the Left at Clwb Ifor Bach again last week, nothing particularly new about that, but I was most impressed with the support band.

                              Right Hand Left Hand

I know they're not the first band to base a set around loops but it came across as more than just a technical exercise. Some fantastic ideas and melodies that will translate well to record where the loops will be irrelevant.

I had a beer with the drummer after the show and I was impressed with his passion and vision. Definitely a band I'll be keeping an eye on in the next year.
