I wouldnt mind if they traded for Peralta. I have always been a fan of his and he does add some pop even though he is struggling this year he should benefit form playing at Fenway. I would guess it wouldnt cost that much either.

Celts, question. Would you do this trade.

Buchholz..LaRoche..Lars Anderson for Victor Martinez? what about for Roy Halladay?

I would probably do the Martinez trade. I am not high on Buchholz like most people and as much as I like Anderson, Martinez would be a solid 1B/C for a few years. I dont think we would need to include Laroche because if we got Martinez I think we would send Kottaras down.

As for Halladay, I the only guy I wouldnt want the Red Sox to trade is Bard. I would include Buchholz, either Bowden or Masterson, either Lars Anderson or Josh Redickk, and Jed Lowrie but with the offers Riccardi has proposed to other teams I doubt that would get it done and I wouldnt want to deplete our entire farm.

lol Phillies tried to counter offer with...

Happ, Taylor, Carrasco and Donald...maybe they thought they could go similar to what the Mets said they turned down...SMH.

Jays are asking for two TOP prospect pitchers or 1 that's young and established and another top prospect, along with a top positional spect.

Very likely the Brewers trade for Jarrod Washburn sometime today.

i still like buchhlolz. I think he needs one or two more seasons. He blew up last year, but everything before that and after that is pointing in the right direction. I'm all for giving up Lars Anderson, Michael Bowden, Masterson etc

the only untouchables for me are Bucky, Casey Kelly, and Daniel Bard

Washburn and murrow for Hardy and a prospect is the rumor that I'm seeing right now.

Washburn is scheduled to start tomorrow and the Brewers don't have a starter for tomorrow.

I doubt it, just posting what I read.

I would be happy with washburn and a C-level prospect for Hardy.

Washburn is seemingly on the block at every deadline.

Washburn stinks, and I'd be fearful handing him the ball in a big spot or a postseason game. He has one of the lowest K/9 ratios in the bigs, and eventually all of those ballls put in play start to miss gloves.

He'd still be the Brewers second best pitcher no matter how you look at it.

Red Sox made an offer for Roy Halladay.

Gordon Edes of Yahoo.com cites a source with knowledge of the negotiations that the Red Sox offered Clay Buchholz, Michael Bowden and top outfield prospect Ryan Westmoreland in exchange for Roy Halladay.

The package is comparable, if not better, than what the Phillies have offered at this point, but it is believed that the Red Sox might have to pay more in order to complete the trade within the division. According to Edes, the Blue Jays are also shopping Marco Scutaro, so the Red Sox may be trying to get a third team involved.
