Just popped up on my Fantasy Roster. I have Rolen on my bench and it was part of his alerts. He needs to approve it and no specifics on what the Jays receive.
Scott Rolen to the Reds

nooooooooooooo
Rolen is a solid ball player...he needed to teach those cunts we call stars in toronto how to play though tough times.
*prays for the thread Wells traded to bumfuckJapan for a pair of spring rolls and a cup of sake"
but instead I get this.

Yea its too bad. Goes from a top 5 offense to the bottom of the barrel. Ricciardi really had it in for this guy, apparently he gets to be re-united with his old GM.
I hope his contract expires soon, he can prolly be a kickass 3B/DH somewhere in the AL. I think it expires in 2010.

I can't figure out why Rolen would want to go to Cincinnati,
I could understand him wanting to be traded to a contender or better market, but Cincinnati? My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Cincy has a very good young pitching staff, a dominant closer, and a good core of young bats in Votto, Bruce & Phillips.
They were contending up until the All Star break, before the injuries took their toll. It's a solid young nucleas.Comment

This move is something I would have liked...had we been in the playoff race. This team played way over its head in the first half, and now true colors are showing. Once the Reds are competing/in the playoffs, I guarantee Rolen will not be a part of it because it is a year or two down the road, and Rolen is very old.Comment

You just traded for a 34 year old 3b who can't stay healthy and has 8 HRs this year. He's had 27 total since 2007.
This makes no sense, unless they really just wanted to unload Encarnacion because he was hitting atrociously.Last edited by NAHSTE; 08-01-2009, 10:09 AM.Comment
