At least you were able to recognize that that was Eli and Romo in the sig, unlike some others who thought Eli was a lineman.

Not gonna lie, it's sort of gratifying.

But I know you'll probably rebound late while we find some way to fuck it up in December again.

It won't matter when you're both looking up at the Eagles atop the division :D

          Anyway, back to baseball...

I really hope the Phillies can wear Pettitte out early and tag him for some runs and get the Yankees middle relief into the game.

Let me throw this out there: If the Yanks are up by a run to start the 7th, will we see Mo for a 9 out save?

I think you will see Sandman come for a three inning save if that is the score. With the heat Girardi is takin on managing his BP by the NY press and the consistent reliability of Rivera no question he brings out the geezer.

I was readin up some analysis on Pettite's numbers when on short rest. The piece was written in th Philly Inky and it's sorta sporadic. There were 2 games he pitched with 3 & 4 days rest, and both were after he went over 100 pitches in the previous games. In those games he was out by the 4th inning giving up 4- 5 runs at that point.

The other games came after he had less than100 pitches in the previous start. He better than average or great in those games.

This year in game 3 he threw 108 pitches in 7 innings I think. We will see how the ball rolls tonight.

I can't wait for this game.

No way....he will use Hughes, Joba, Roberston, Coke or Marte there....it will depend on matchups who he uses, but not a chance in hell he brings Mo in the 7th inning

Gotcha -- I think he would go to his other guys too, as he's hesitant to use Mo even for a 6 out save at this point in his career. It wouldn't shock me if he actually did use him for a 9 out save, though.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to expect from Pettitte tonight. My biggest fear is the Yankees bats blowing Pedro out of the water tonight. I just hope he keeps us in the game. It's weird too cause I'm a big fan of Pedro and believe in him, but there's always that thought in the back of my mind of him getting rocked. Hopefully he goes 6 IP, 3 ER and we can get some run support for him.

I'm not worried about Andy...he's a gamer.....and like he said, he wasn't sharp last time he pitched on 6 days rest, and he only went 6 innings....3 days rest won't matter

If he used him in the 7th inning, someone should put him in a strait jacket right on the spot

                        Phillies/Yankees fans:

What's your confidence level for tonight's game? 1 being the least confident, 10 being the highest.

I'm at a 5 -- I think it could go either way, I have no strong feelings one way or the other. The Phils offense needs to show up, because I expect the Yankees to score 5 runs or so tonight.

Hahaha, they definitely get the blood pressure rising whenever they come in.

For some reason I'm the opposite DJ. This game, although I thought it would be killing me, doesn't have me super worried. I feel good about the Phils tonight, yet I'm TERRIFIED if it were to go to 7.
