Youkilis has moved ahead of Swisher in the AL final vote. Votto still leads NL.

        Player A: .299/.416/.586, 17 HR, 55 RBI, 162 OPS+, 3.4 WAR

        Player B: .299/.386/.562, 20 HR, 58 RBI, 149 OPS+, 2.6 WAR

        Player C: .296/.375/.509, 13 HR, 47 RBI, 140 OPS+, 2.3 WAR

Who is more deserving of an All Star bid among these three?

Votto got snubbed, big time. There are so many star first basemen in the NL though.

Nice to see Wainwright and Carp both make it.

Philadelphia – As elated as the Braves clubhouse was over Phillies manager Charlie Manuel’s decision to include Omar Infante on the National League All-Star roster, he has received considerable backlash over the decision in fan blogs, radio call-in shows and the like.

Manuel explained on Monday that he was instructed to add a utility player to the roster and that was why he chose Infante, over a player like Joey Votto, the Reds’ first baseman who is an every day player with better numbers.

“We were told you had to have a utility player on your team,” Manuel said. “We went over a bunch of names, and I thought (Infante) was the best one on there. He can play all the infield positions and he can play all the outfield positions. And he’s hitting .300 or so.”
            Sounds like bullshit to me

Aka I'm old and too lazy to look at who deserved it so I just kinda got some guy from my division.

I actually think thats highly believable. Theres no way in hell Manuel purposefully picked Infante over Votto.
