If you are talking about expectations most Phillies fans had in 2010, I think most of us were aware that the core of the team were hitting their thirties and their window for cementing their legacy during their prime was rapidly closing. I don't remember thinking we were starting this "future dynasty"

Phillies fans were far from the only people who thought they had the talent at the time to win another WS or two. Apparently there are a lot of people who were saying a lot of dumb shit back then outside of Phillies fans.

Just on a personal note, I was 7 years old when the Phillies won in 1980 and 10 when the Sixers won in 83. To be able to celebrate a world championship as an adult was something I'll never forget. While I'll freely admit the Phillies should of won at least 1 or 2 more given the talent we had from 09-11, I remember the years with Joe Crowley, Steve Jeltz, Rickey Jordan, Robert Person, and Joe Fucking Carter, and can look back at 08 and the fun I had watching this team from 07-11 and have an appreciation for it.
