        Walker: .313/.400/.565, 140 OPS+, 67.3 WAR
        Gonzalez: .295/.343/.561, 132 OPS+, 33.5 WAR
I can't ignore Walker playing in Coors Field like he did for his peak. Juan has two MVP's and even though Texas is a bandbox it's not Coors.

I still think it's insane Walker won as many Gold Gloves as he did too.

Put them both in for all I care. My perception was just always that Juan was the better player.

On it's face the name Larry Walker never really jumped out as a HOF player to me.

As I've mentioned before I just kinda let all roid guys in because one way or another steroid guys are going to get in, so I'm not going to just pick the most obvious guys or the ones that the Feds actually went after but not the mid level guys that were doing it, etc.

Well, OPS+ regulates for that. Walker's OPS+ is much lower than most other guys as a result but also still puts him above Gonzalez. Plus Walker absolutely mashed on the road too.

Don't forget Juan didn't exactly play in the AstroDome, he had a pretty nice place to hit homers for a majority of his career as well.

With the Cubs. Overrated by Cubs fans a bit but he was still very good.

Overall for his career a very good closer. Never the best in the game but always just on the cusp of the first tier. Hard to ignore 3rd all time in saves behind only Rivera and Hoffman.

IMO he's hung around on the ballot long enough. The writers have made their point in regards to him. He should get in.

The feds going after Raffy didn't cause him to fail a test.

Go read the Walker thread, come back, and reevaluate.

Yeah, but still...Coors was #1, but Texas wasn't far behind before GAB in Cincy was built Texas was probably #2.

Also, I don't get that argument because OPS+ regulates that and Walker exceeds Gonzalez in that metric.

And i'd love to know how Juan Gonzalez was better.
