Jorge better start to wake up and realize the hard truth, he's 40 and just not good anymore. Who the hell would take him. The Yankees are going to have to open a roster spot soon if he isnt producing.
Eh, if Posada is done crying, I don't think they are going to move him. It would be wasting $10 million, and I don't think the Yankees are going to let him walk because he's part of the "Core Four."

Here is a good article from Yahoo! Sports about the whole situation, both Posada in general and declining veterans. Passan usually writes good stuff, and I found this article good as well, although most of us probably knew those guys weren't worth the contracts anyway.

Buster Olney reported Cashmen was so pissed Saturday that he was ready to waive Saturday night during the game.

You think the Yankees care about 10million when they over pay that on average for players. I really think thats why people hate the Yankees, they say the Phillies are becoming the Yankees of American League which is bullshit. They are acquiring talent but not overpaying, the Yankees will overpay just so someone else wont get him.

Well, Brian Cashman told Derek Jeter to find a better offer instead of bidding against himself. I think he's become a little more money conscious in recent seasons, at least in regards to wasting money. Given the potential backlash of releasing Posada and the $10 million that goes wasted, I can see where he wasn't released.

Oh, and I do agree with your point about the Phillies. But I hate the fact that we have such high payrolls in baseball, with no cap of any kind in sight.

well Jeter should never been paid that much, he's well past the decline of his playing days. They called his bluff.

There really wasnt any FA to go after, they put all their eggs in one basket with Lee and he told them to pound sand so they lost out on him, Crawford and they werent going to pay Beltre

Not blaming the pitchers or Arod, just calling Jorge a baby. He's washed up and his career is over. Let it go Jorge, let it go.

                      was a good draft

If we start now, we may have rules for a football draft by Sept.

Guess who will stick more along their current streak in the long run...Granderson's thunderous stick or A-Rod's weak stuff?

I haven't liked Posada for quite a while.. mental mistakes on the base-paths, always seemingly having an attitude, not running everything out, being a baby when not starting for AJ in the past.. time to bench him for good.
