Cubs would be willing to do Garza for Sanchez and Domigunez (w/e his name is) (3B prospect)

I am sure somehow the Marlins will try to land Burhele or Wilson yet.

JJ, Garza, Burhele would be a solid 1-3.

Since CoCo was going to take a pay cut, I just don't understand why the Reds are looking for a closer unless he changed his mind.

        All from MLB Trade Rumors:

Blue Jays acquire RP Sergio Santos

The Blue Jays acquired reliever Sergio Santos from the White Sox for righty prospect Nestor Molina, announced the team.

In Santos, 28, the Jays found their closer on the trade market. The converted infielder posted a 3.55 ERA, 13.1 K/9, 4.1 BB/9, 0.85 HR/9, and 43% groundball rate in 63 1/3 innings for the White Sox this year, saving 30 games in 36 tries. He was formerly a shortstop in Toronto's minor league system from 2006-08.
Brewers meet with agent for Jimmy Rollins

The latest on free agent shortstop Jimmy Rollins...

Brewers GM Doug Melvin told Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel he met with Rollins' agent Dan Lozano at the start of the Winter Meetings, but no proposal was made.

The Phillies met late into the night with Lozano on Rollins, tweets Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports. No meeting is expected between the two parties today, but Lozano is a busy man with Albert Pujols and Carlos Beltran as clients.
Giants looking to move trio in deals

The Giants are trying to trade infielder Jeff Keppinger, outfielder Andres Torres, and reliever Ramon Ramirez, tweets Danny Knobler of CBS Sports. They're planning to keep lefty Jeremy Affeldt. ESPN's Buster Olney says there's a strong feeling by other teams Torres will be non-tendered. If so, the Giants may not be able to get much for him. Torres was the second-most valuable center fielder in baseball in 2010, based on FanGraphs' wins above replacement.

Keppinger, Torres, and Ramirez are all arbitration eligible, and MLBTR projects salaries in the $2.3-2.7MM range for each.

Nester is a fucking stud. 22 years old, in A/AA:

            130.1 IP, 16 BB, 148 K sub 2.3 ERA

I like it for both sides.

                    Good deal on both ends.

Jays get a closer that's reliable, still young.

White Sox start the much needed process of rebuilding their farm system via trades. Also closers are closers. I never fret about trading one. The White Sox have a track record of developing decent closers over the past 5-10 years. Possibly move Peavy into this role?

I'm cool with it. Sucks to lose Santos but it's the type of proactive move the White Sox really have to make.

I'm not saying for sure but were past the point of saying anyone is definitely clean. It's guilty until proven innocent at this point. Especially someone who has played all of their career under Tony LaRussa.

I'm as suspicious as anyone when it comes to roids but with Pujols I'm on the innocent until proven guilty side. He's played most of his career in a testing era. There have been numerous investigations, reports etc and nothing has named or even mentioned Pujols that I can think of. I'm all for "where there is smoke there is fire" but there's no smoke around Pujols at this point.

Bob Nightengale reports the Marlins offered Pujols 10 years, over $200 million which may be too rich for STL (the extra year).
