Manager Dusty Baker said Tuesday that Phillips would miss three or four days because of a sore left hamstring, the Cincinnati Enquirer’s John Fay reports.
Young Bailey has yet to reach his 26th birthday, but is now in his 6th season as an MLB pitcher. Based on his high draft-pick status, his picture-perfect pitcher’s frame, all the hype surrounding his MLB debut, and 79 career starts in the big leagues – many fans expect him to be a more productive pitcher.
“I think looking at five years we’ve got a pretty good idea of who’s going to be here. Our catcher, our shortstop, our right fielder, our center fielder, our Opening Day starter, our second pitcher, our future ace in Aroldis Chapman, some of our bullpen, myself at first base. Chris Heisey could be our left fielder. I’m not sure about third and second base. But two positions? I’m worried about two positions over five years? That was a huge factor in the equation. If I was worried about losing situation, a team with no future, I would have said no.”

Anyway, there you go. I think this offseason convinced Votto to stay, where as last time, he wasn't going to commit beyond his arbi years. The window is a lot wider now, so a lot of that WIN THIS YEAR OR ELSE pressure is gone.
