Did they really say that? Wow.

I want to see Stubbs add 20 bunt hits, minimum.

Assuming either Bailey or Chapman is the 6th RP, I now have no idea who the 7th RP will be.

Is Carlos Fisher still in camp? Brackman? WHO WILL IT BE??

I heard we brought in Mike gonzalez if that means anything. Dusty needs to stop with all this fuckery and announce the rotation man. The suspense is killing me.

He worked out but wasn't signed. He won't a minor league deal. Several teams are interested, but he won't sign.

                  ..oh...my...god.

Joey Votto and the Reds are nearing an extension that will keep the first baseman in Cincinnati for a long time, MLBTR's Tim Dierkes and Ben Nicholson-Smith have learned. Dan Lozano of Icon Sports Group represents Votto.

Terms of the deal are not known, but the total contract value could surpass $200MM.
Prince Fielder and Albert Pujols won't be the only first basemen to cash in with historic contracts this offseason. Joey …

Of course it can't all be good news.

Chapman is in the bullpen. Baker: "He's a starter, a very good starter. But Billy Bray isn't ready to be late-inning lefty right now." #reds

This is the last year we will see Phillips in Cincinnati probably. He is going to want a massive contract, and will be 31 next year. Just not reasonable for the Reds to tie up that much money with him. Maybe Billy Hamilton will develop into a potential replacement at 2nd.

Reds are going with 6 bench players and only 6 RP's (one of whom, Bray, is not ready for high leverage situations and would probably be on the DL if the bullpen was not already in shambles), so Chapman to the bullpen (for now) is a no brainer. The bullpen is a mess and has no lefty.

Reds wont need the 5th starter for 10 days, so Chapman AND Bailey can work relief for a few days. We still dont know who will start April 11.

I would be willing to bet that Chapman starts 20+ games and ends the season in the rotation.

The Futures are playing the major league squad right now at GABP. Top of the 7th and the minor league guys are up 2-1 lol. That JJ hoover guy pitched an inning and struck out the side. Cozart has a home run. Leake, Bailey, Chapman have all pitched.

Realistically I'd say around .280 with 15 or so home runs and 15+ SB.

I could see him hitting well over .300 though [/homer]
