    Wow, who tweeted this?

On the surface you would think the Reds are nuts, but Victorino is only OPS'ing like .700, is 31, and makes $10M. Stubbs is 27, has a similar shitty OPS, and makes pennies on the dollar. And Ondrusek also makes nothing and is a very good bullpen arm.

    I would have passed, too.

I spoke to John Fay during batting practice. Very nice man, he took the time to chat with me for about 5 minutes. I asked him to ask around and see if the Reds are interested in my personal obsession, Jason Giambi. He says the Reds are looking at Mark Kotsay.

Fay also dropped this bomb on me:

"There are people who think Votto might be back in ten days"

Astros fans turned on Cordero already. That was ugly, I felt kinda bad for the guy.

More rumors on acquiring anyone else?

Does BP return back to the clean up spot when Votto returns?

I keep hearing Juan Pierre (yuk) and Mark Kotsay (meh, better than what we've got in that role (LH PH), though).

And yes, I think Phillips will go back to 4th, although he should be leading off or batting second.

                Xavier Paul > Mark Kotsay.

Kotsay lifetime .335 OBA (.354 this season), Paul .291

                  Kotsay also plays good defense.

I don't want Kotsay, and Paul has given the team good AB's, but if they get Kotsay for next to nothing, I won't rage. Meh.

I guess the Upton whispers were just around when the Dbacks were in town eh?

At this point in his career Kotsay is a terrible defender.

And he has a .080 ISO. Dude is brutal.

Players who qualify with a lower ISO then Kotsay,

Jamey Carrol, Dee Gordon, Placido Polanco, Michael Young. That's it.

Side note, remember when Michael Young was an "MVP candidate" last year. LOL. Still a joke.
