for real. hit that now! shortest start in his career. starting to feel good we locked up cain and not him. wouldn't surprise me if the giants either A. looked to trade him this year or B. let him go after next, and lock up mad bum long term

        Barry Zito is like

Tim Lincecum: 2 starts... 8 innings, 14 hits allowed, 11 earned runs, a 1.60 WHIP, and a solid 10.34 ERA... Wow..

I try not to go overboard after only two games, but Lincecum definitely looks very bad so far. I hope he turns it around even with the decreased velocity.

I'd give him one more start before hitting the panic button. In his defense, his track record at Coors field could have alluded to tonight's start. Also had to believe that the Rockies were due to have a breakout game after losing 2 in a row to Houston and then getting shutout last night. His next scheduled start is at home against Philadelphia. If he sucks there, then hit the panic button.

His velocity is down, yeah, but even more of an issue is the fact that the dude cannot locate his pitches...watching him tonight was just scary.

It is the Phillies, but it is still concerning that Lincecum couldn't even get out of the first inning. Just an awful start to the season, and I really think they should shut him down and get his arm and shoulder looked at. Nothing wrong with doing that at this point.

He went six innings tonight, and was fairly effective after the first inning.
Final line: 6 IP, 5 ER, 1 BB, 6 Ks.

                          Pollack, is just a polack.

To be fair, the Phillies offense without Utley and Howard is not the same old Phillies offense we are accustomed to.

I knew I should have looked......just got home from work, and had to stay later due to some sort of numbers glitch. More numbers was the last thing I wanted to look at, so my turn- on me.

Actually, that start isn't that bad after the first. Lets wait for the next one to see if he can build on it.

They are currently tied with Oakland and Minnesota for "worst offense that isn't Pittsburgh."
