    The biggest issue with Konerko is mediocre years mixed in with monster years. And even those monster years are good but not out of this world good. Not a single one of his years is really going to blow your mind.

    Where he struggles the most, as I mentioned, is he couldn't put together 5-8 "really good" years in a row. Instead you'd have duds like 2003, 2007-2009 sprinkled among some pretty solid but not spectacular years.

      To me, absolutely not. To crotchety old baseball writers stuck in the 1960s or latching on to nostalgia and the idea that the DH and bullpens ruined baseball, it still is a big deal.
