The Mets 1-2 punch of Dickey and Santana is something not to be fucked with

A knuckle-curve has about as much to do with a knuckleball as Aroldis Chapman's velocity has to do with Jamie Moyer's.

Wish he was still with the Rangers.

In 2006, he started 1 game for the Rangers. In that game, he pitched 3.1 innings and gave 6 HRs against the Tigers.

        He has apparently found it.

I remember that start vividly but was he throwing the knuckleball then?

Steve Sparks was another knuckleballer of recent vintage that i just thought of. Not sure why I am posting this.

He was throwing what he thought was a hard forkball that was actually a knuckleball, I read. I guess on that on that day it didn't do anything but stay straight and the Tigers teed off on it.

If you read his book, you will see why he has found it. His book really made me appreciate all of this 20x more.

Updated after Dickey gets back on the horse after the disappointing Yankee game. Pitches a gem against the Dodgers to give the Mets a 3-game win streak.

He has one last start on Thursday before the All Star Break and pending something out of the ordinary...you're looking at your NL Starter for next Tuesday.

That hard knuckler is starting to look more like a power sinker these days. It moves so fast you can't even tell what it's doing on TV. It's goofy as shit and I like it.

It's an absolutely filthy pitch. Right on par with Rivera's cutter.

His K:BB ratio is 55:8 in the month of June. 21 hits in 48 innings pitched this month and opponents are batting .131 against him this month. That's including when he got "blown up" against the Yankees.

The part that amazes me the most is only 8 walks in the month in all six games combined.

The Mets are seven games over .500, and at some point in the next month, they are expected to execute plans to pitch R.A. Dickey more often.
                              Well this could become interesting...

They better not fuck up his mojo. There's been talk of pitching him on 3 days rest but I thought they tabled it because, why mess with what's working?
