    Fucking robbed
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

The Los Angeles Angels have renewed the contract of AL Rookie of the Year Mike Trout for $510,000, which is $20,000 above the major league minimum.

Mike Trout just got himself a whopping 20K raise over the league minimum today. Can't help but be angry at the Angels for being so ridiculously cheap with Trout. Can't blame them though since they don't have any money after Pujols, Wilson, and Hamilton

Yeah but every team does this. Players don't get paid until they reach arbitration. If Trout wants money now, sign a long term deal.

Yep, if he wants to wait 6 years and break the salary record, he can, or he can sign a 10 year deal now for 18-22 per and watch salaries skyrocket around him.

No problem with the Angels doing this, because he's going to be stupid expensive soon. It's the weird part of the MLB salary structure. Players are rarely ever paid what they are worth.

I don't think it's cheap, I think it's smart. You're going to have to pay him a ton, regardless. Why rush? On the off chance that last year was a fluke, may as well wait another year or two.

                    Week 2: He's still fat

.933 OPS so far in the Spring.. Must be getting a little more torque with that extra chin.

                        UPDATE!

Mike Trout is actually hitting BETTER than he did in 2012...

                        ...but still won't win MVP.
