And Clippard blows it. Only a matter of time really.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

No need to worry. The Mets pen are the kings of blowing leads.

Mike Matheny apparently doesn't look at career statistics closely.

Lance Berkman was 3-32 against Randy Wolf, so he pinch hits him against Wolf in the 7th inning. Berkman strikes out.

So naturally, there's men on second and third with one out in the 9th. Instead of having Berkman as a PH option against a RHP, he has to use Skip Schumaker and Daniel Descalso to bring in the tying run. Both fail miserably.

It's just pathetic at this point.

Or maybe this will make him feel better...

With Votto out, the two best OBA's on the team bat 7th & 8th, while our two worst bat 1st & 2nd.

                  We're never winning again.

                  e:
                  • Adam Wainwright's line: 7 IP, 9 SO, 4 H, 1 ER
                  • Trevor Rosenthal threw a shutout inning in relief
                  • David Freese and Allen Craig homered
                  • The Cardinals had seven hits to the Brewers' five
                  • The Cardinals drew nine walks to the Brewers' two
                  • Francisco Rodriguez walked three and gave up a hit in the ninth inning

How the fuck do you lose with all of that?

A's with another walkoff win (league leading 9th so far). Brandon Hicks hit his 1st career home run in the bottom of the 9th. I have no idea how they keep pulling these off

Lincecum for Stanton would be a dream come true but obviously that won't happen now considering Lincecum sucks ass.

Kemp comes back and single handedly wins the game for the Dodgers. That guy is unreal. He completely changes the face of that entire team.

Giants being held scoreless by Mike Minor right now. He is throwing pretty well tonight but cmon man.

I just wish Mat Latos would pitch decently good starts. He either pitches really fucking good like 7+ no runs, or really bad and cant barely get past the 5th inning. Ill just take a nice 7 inning 2 run start or something.

This is the 18th time the Reds have scored 1 or 0 runs in a game, surpassing their whole total for last season [17]

Rick Ankiel was DFA'd by the Nationals to make room for Drew Storen's return.

Kendall will report to Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he's scheduled to start tomorrow night.
I wonder if he wants to stay in the minors all fucking year.

Orioles are investigating upgrades at SP and 3B, rumors already out they inquired about Clayton Richard. Not at all excited about that one, as putting a control lefty in the AL East is a disaster waiting to happen. Though I wouldn't mind having Chase Headley, as he gives the Orioles some additional fielding flexibility and a guy who can get on base.
