Watching Japan destroy Netherlands on DVR, glad I didn't get up at 6 to watch this. Nederland plays Cuba next in a must-win game for both sides.

NEDERLAND STUNS CUBA TO ADVANCE TO THE SEMIS!

The Dutch were four outs from elimination and missing three of their starting position players to injury, but found a way to get it done. Down 6-4 with two outs in the bottom of the 8th, Andrelton Simmons tied it up with a 2-run jack, and then the Dutch won it with a walk-off sacrifice fly in the next inning.

Cuba goes home, and the Dutchie gets passed to the left hand side.

So outchea. So very outchea.

Just watched the highlights, holy shit what a game that was.

Was studying at 6am for a test today and was fortunate enough to have that awesome game on in the background.

What a game. Netherlands had players dropping like flies and still managed to keep plucking away and than come up with the big hold in the top of the 9th before winning in the bottom. Andruw Jones yapping to the Cuban bench after scoring on the walkoff sac fly was priceless. Cuban coach kinda ripped the Netherlands after their loss on Friday, that dude was a fucking character today.

I've been so into this tournament after watching the hour long (well done) highlight films from the past two WBCs last week on MLB Network, and what a blast it has been. Got another test tomorrow in the morning so I'm probably waking up early/staying up to study. Gonna be a great night, Cards/Yanks replay at midnight.
