I'm not concerned about the number of saves, but that he'll still be an effective part of the back end of the bullpen. The past two seasons, he's done a pretty good job. I'm actually surprised he ended up being the closer this year, I thought for sure they were going to put him in the rotation. Turns out this was the right decision.

That is exactly what regression means. I agree on Rochey though, you could tell he was putting together a career year when he came out of the gate hitting well in April. He'll probably do his normal routine next year and wait until June to start hitting.

LOL on Lohse. Best I would give him is four years, $44 million, but I certainly wouldn't do that for the Orioles. He's also 34, and I would expect a drop-off to be coming soon.

At least with LaRoche, you're also getting a great glove at first to hold you over until the bat picks up.

Sale and Peavy maybe, but Dunn probably isn't regressing anywhere. That's already happened.

It was retaliation for the Rodney pick .

That's fair, the Rodney pick was a real out there one.

That's Nahste level thinking though, pick a player who broke records and say they will regress.

Well, yeah, that's kind of how relievers in the MLB work.

I know, and I know you know, and I know that most here know as well.

Now give me a more interesting regression candidate .

Not being on a roster I guess.

                              Lets discuss Jason Hammel.
