I figured Cabrera would end up winning but I was shocked he ran away with it like he did.
Miggy wins MVP. Baseball nerds everywhere revolt.

Not like we didn't see this coming with the Gold Glove going to Adam JonesThe king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"Comment

I can't find it anymore, but it was a good article that appeared on ESPN from one of the voters in Seattle, who decided to cast his ballot for Trout. Brought up a lot of things, but the best part was doing the math to add his stolen bases as doubles to his OPS, and then Trout would come out to be higher than Cabrera's. Trout also had his season in fewer games than Cabrera, and his team ended with more wins, but didn't make the playoffs.
In any other season, Cabrera would have been deserving of that award. 22 of 28 first place votes for Cabrera though is ludicrous. It should be much closer than that.Comment
