It's the fucking ROY, who cares? He can be out 2 months have a few good months and still do fine. Chris fucking Coughlin won the damn thing before. He's probably going to get playing time the second he gets back and has the potential to hit for a high average and he's "scrappy" (see: white) which helps in voting as well.Comment

Regardless, the last time a pitcher won NL ROY was 2003 (2006 for AL). I think we can all agree no matter how good the rookie pitchers probably project it's not realistic to expect them to come in and dominate from the beginning. Rookie pitchers struggles one way or another (innings limit, dead arm, etc.) It's way more probable that a position player wins IMO.Comment

Relief pitchers are usually my go to ROY candidates. They get a ton of opportunities and usually are placed in favorable matchupsComment

That's the thing and why Miggy winning the MVP was so silly. Trout had one of the top seasons in baseball history. The chances of him doing it again are relatively slim.Comment
