Puig has a laser for an arm. Holy shit.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

Pirates led the NL Central at the break in '11 & '12, one game back at the break this season.

Let's say they tank again and completely miss the playoffs. This will be hard to do, because the Reds have a pretty big lead on WC2 and the Pirates are still a couple of games ahead of the Reds. But play along.

      1.) Would they fire Hurdle

2.) Would Hurdle deserve to be fired

Hurdle would deserve to be fired.

Box score for the Seattle Mariners vs. Houston Astros MLB game from July 20, 2013 on ESPN. Includes all pitching and batting stats.

Mariners beat the Astros on hone hit. They got one hit and won the game 4-2

Teams that get one hit in a game are now 51 - 1037

Yes they would, but I'm not sure if he would deserve to be fired. Sure, the consistent collapsing is tough, but before he joined the fold there was absolutely no hope for that organization. I'd personally probably give him another season, unless the team somehow collapses to the point where they finish under .500 again.

No doubt about it, he would need to be canned.

56-39, 8 game lead in the loss column over the next WC team (after Cincy) in the Dodgers.

If they miss the playoffs, that means they'll only win something like 25-30 games the rest of the way. If they finish playing under .500 ball, how can you not fire him?

Took 2/3 vs the A's. Good start to the 2nd half.
