Johnson got the saves, but last year kept leaving the fastball up and the sinker hung more than usual. He went through a dreadful stretch in June but still finished with respectable numbers. It seems those problems creeped up pretty quickly again.

Wind was blowing in most of the day, so it was a pretty good shot when you factor that in. Nothing to get too excited about, except it was the game winning run on Opening Day.

Yawn. Sports writers are making a big deal out of nothing here, go figure. Braun got a standing ovation during the lineup introduction on opening day. Every other Brewer player got the same treatment, and so did players in every other park.

You don't see why Braun is not like every other player and does not deserve the same treatment. That's the problem.

So you would expect the clams to clap for Jean Segura, then briefly sit down for 10 seconds, before getting back up to clap for Aramis Ramirez?

Braun isn't the only player who has lied about using steroids. Lets not single him out.

If he deserves the same treatment as another player, there is only one such player

Media needs to take the stick from their ass. What do you expect the home crowd to do for their star player? Did SF ever boo Bonds or the Chicago boo Sosa or STL boo that asshole McGwire? Hell no.

Why try to act like it's on Milwuakee to all of a sudden be the ONE audience that should utilize a moral compass in how they treat their sports stars?

He's the only one on the Brewers who lied and let the team down. So Brewers fans are some chumps.

Then again, they were also screaming for Lyle Overbay's return like he was a franchise icon on the level of Chipper Jones or Derek Jeter, so ...

I think all the good Braun has done for the Brewers and Milwaukee far outweighs lying about steroids, no? You guys are goofs about this. Loose the circle jirk/trolling/high horse act please.

Braun is a cheater and should be banned for life. He's been cheating since Miami. All his achievements as a Brewer are nullified.

The casual fans in the stadium treated him like he missed time with an injury. I was not one of those fans.

The only reason I think Braun was worse (not saying home fans shouldn't cheer for him on OD) is that he tried to bring another man down for his mistake. Other guys said they never used the stuff and nobody could prove it otherwise but he called out the tester for not doing his job correctly.
