Also, Tomasz...why would the Os send Gausman down off two great stars like he's had? Performance-wise, he deserves a rotation spot and I can't imagine all 5 other guys are better. Is it simply a Super-2 situation, trying to prevent him from reaching arbitration too early?

I think they are giving him a chance to earn the spot. Gonzalez is available to pitch relief if needed right now, and is supposed to start Tuesday, sandwiched between Chen and Gausman. From what I've seen, and one of the games was in person, Gausman seems to have it now. I would stick Gonzalez into a relief role, because you know they aren't doing it with Jimenez at this point. Norris could be an option, but he's found confidence in his change and has put together a solid streak of starts like Gausman.

After beating the A's and Blue Jays and going 3-0 in three starts with a .95 ERA, the Orioles are sending Gausman back to AAA because they don't want to put someone (i.e. Miguel Gonzalez) in a bullpen role.
