Freddie Freeman is hitting .515 against the Nationals this year. He's hitting .254 against everyone else.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

            Fourth team of the year

Left-handed starting pitcher Randy Wolf is set to join his fourth different organization in 2014. He's signed a minor-league deal with the Orioles, confirms Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com.

Wolf was with the Mariners in the spring and then the Diamondbacks to open the season. He didn't reach the majors with either team and was released by each. He was then picked up by the Marlins, where he did appear in six MLB games, going 1-3 with a 5.26 ERA and 1.52 WHIP before being released last week.

            Wolf, 37, is 133-120 with a 4.21 ERA (100 ERA+) in his 15-year career.

The Orioles have Chris Tillman, Wei-Yin Chen, Ubaldo Jimenez, Bud Norris and Miguel Gonzalez in the rotation right now and just optioned talented youngster Kevin Gausman back to Triple-A, so Wolf won't be counted on as a major player. Depth never hurts, of course, and that's what he'll be counted on to provide.

News of Wolf's signing was first reported by the Baltimore Sun.

As long as he just sits in AAA all year it's not a bad move.

Not long after being cut loose by the Red Sox, outfielder Grady Sizemore has caught on with another club. On Tuesday, the Phillies announced that they signed Sizemore to a minor-league contract. CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman adds that Sizemore will have an opt-out in July.

Sizemore, 31, batted .216/.288/.324 in 205 plate appearances for the Red Sox this season before being released. For his career, he owns an OPS+ of 118 across parts of nine big-league seasons.

That Sizemore even spent time on a major-league roster in 2014 is in itself remarkable. This, after all, is a player who's endured injury upon injury, hadn't played in the majors since 2011 and hadn't performed at a high level since 2008. Still, hard to blame the Phils for taking a low-cost flyer on a three-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove winner, no matter how unlikely it is he'll contribute on an extended basis.

Chris Davis is fucking awful. He is probably playing hurt, which if that is the case I don't understand why they wouldn't shut him down for another 2 weeks. This Chris Davis is an absolute zero right now. They should be taking advantage of Steve Pearce killing it, let him man 1st and let Davis heal up again.

The problem is Pearce is getting full-time at-bats in left field. His pull ability is there, but he's not hitting opposite field. Though I would agree, we have plenty of offense even if that means putting Lough in left field. That makes the bottom of the order filled with guys close to the Mendoza line.

Chris Davis is pulling everything into the shift, he isn't doing ANYTHING. Idc if Pearce is pull happy, he can man first if Davis is truly hurt. I believe Davis has even said he isn't fully recovered from that, he was off the DL right on the date he was up so who knows. You don't have to be inside the O's clubhouse to know he isn't this bad. They can only hope that he heals up well during the break, because they will need him in the 2nd half.
